Ways to Help Around the House

Be a volunteer at the RONALD McDONALD HOUSE
Without the help of volunteers, the RONALD McDONALD HOUSE wouldn’t be able to serve the community the way it does. Volunteers are the cornerstones of the RONALD McDONALD HOUSE, and for the volunteers, it’s a rewarding experience. Join our team by calling Pam or Amy – (802) 862-4943.

Donate a meal or a dessert
Cook a meal at the RONALD McDONALD HOUSE or cook it at home and bring it in for our guests to enjoy after a long day spent at the hospital. Sweets are always a “feel good” treat, so check your recipe box. Call Amy at (802) 862-4943 to make arrangements. This is often a good project for a church youth group, Girl or Boy Scout troop or any small organization.

Planned Giving Designation
Designate the Burlington RONALD McDONALD HOUSE as your beneficiary on your life insurance policy or talk to Pam Fenimore about other planned giving opportunities. Change adds up … Drop your change into the collection canisters at McDonalds’ restaurants. The proceeds go entirely to support the RONALD McDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES OF BURLINGTON, which makes grants to local non-profit organizations that help children.

Make a monetary donation to this important community program, or check our WISH LIST for some ideas.

Donate a gift certificate
Gift certificates for goods or services from your business are used as an auction or prize item at one of our fundraising events. We really rely on the support and donations of the local business community to help make our fundraising campaigns successful. Call Pam Fenimore for more information.

Spread the word !!
Send us a list of friends, family and business associates, and we will send them literature about the RONALD McDONALD HOUSE and its activities and opportunities.

Help Sponsor a Fundraising Event

Collect Can Pull Tabs
Donate your pull-tabs. Bring or mail to the Ronald House or drop at the McDonald’s Restaurants.

Pantry People
Collect non-perishable food items for our families. Deliver the food to the House and get a tour or we can pick-up. Great for downtown office projects – collect all month and the take turns dropping off the items! A little effort can make a big difference.

United Way Designation
Designate the RONALD McDONALD HOUSE of Burlington, Vermont as your United Way Campaign choice in Vermont and New York during the 1999/2000 campaign. Since the Burlington RONALD McDONALD HOUSE is not a member of the Chittenden County United Way, make your donations directly or through “donor choice.” You can also designate the RONALD McDONALD HOUSE Of Burlington as your CFC (Combined Federal Campaign) choice.

Acknowledge an exemplary person by making a monetary contribution in the form of a donation, Honorarium or Memorial.
